1When Does The Auction End?

Auction will end at 9:00pm CST January 11, 2017.

2Can I retract my bid if I've changed my mind?

No. Once bid is made it is final, bids cannot be retracted.

3Can I bid on the hunt if I live in the US or outside of Canada

This auction is open to everybody in the world including Canadians as long as you are 12 years or older.

4Who can I contact if I have questions about the auction and the hunt?

5What Currency do you accept?

All bids are US funds and payment will be in US Funds.

6How do i pay for the hunt if I win the auction?

Payment must be made by MasterCard, Visa or Cashier's Check. If paying by credit card, payment of 100% of final bid amount is payable within 7 days of auction end. If paying by cashier's check 100% of final bid amount must be received within 14 days of auction end. If payment is not received within 7-14 days, you will automatically forfeit the hunt and the 2nd highest bidder will be offered the hunt at the highest bid. PLEASE only bid if you are serious about hunting!

7Are there any additional costs?

We hunt in a 2 bear area and there is a $2000 trophy fee for the 2nd bear. This is payable in camp should you choose to hunt another bear. All hunts are subject to 5% GST and will be added to the total bid amount at the end of the auction. License fee of $300 will be due upon arrival. Bear hunts are also subject to a $1,000 wound fee if you wound a bear and it is not recovered, a wound is considered a kill. You will have to pay a small firearms registration fee when you cross the border (approximately $25)

8What is included in the hunt?

All hunts include accommodation, meals, guiding and transportation during the hunt. Hunts do not included: licenses, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, airfare to Alberta, meat processing or accommodations prior to or after the hunt.

9Can I bring other hunters or non-hunters

Absolutely, we encourage you to grab a group of friends or family members to come hunt with you. We can accommodate 6-8 hunters per week. Please contact me at 780-808-0318 for groups of 4 or more! Non-hunters are also welcome to join you. We do have a fee for non-hunters of $150 per day

10What happens if I win the auction?

We will contact you by phone and email if you have won the auction within 48 hours of auction end date to arrange payment and provide all the necessary documentation to complete the booking.

AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions of Business represent the terms upon which NORTH STAR OUTFITTING contracts with the Buyer. These Terms and Conditions of Business shall apply to the sale of the Lot by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING to the Buyer and shall supersede and take precedence over any previously agreed Terms and Conditions of Business. These Terms and Conditions are hereby incorporated into and form part of the Agreement entered into by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING and the Buyer.

DEFINED TERMS:

Sale Price
The Sale Price is the final ending bid price;

Buyer
The Buyer is the person who bids successfully on the hunt at the auction sale;

Sales Tax
Sales Tax means the Federal sales tax applicable in the jurisdiction of sale of the Lot;

Purchase Price
The Purchase Price is the Sale Price, the Buyer’s Premium, and applicable tax, including expenses due from a defaulting Buyer;

Registered Bidder
A Registered Bidder is a bidder who has fully completed the registration process, provided the required information to NORTH STAR OUTFITTING and has been assigned a unique number for the purpose of bidding on hunts in the auction;

Online Auctions
These Terms and Conditions of Business apply to all online auction sales conducted by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING.

THE BUYER:
Every Registered Bidder shall fully complete the registration process and provide the required information to NORTH STAR OUTFITTING. Every Registered Bidder will be assigned a unique customer ID & Passord for the purpose of bidding on hunts in the auction. A password will be created for use in the current and future online sales only.

Every Registered Bidder acknowledges that once a bid is made with his username and password, as the case may be, it may not be withdrawn without the consent of NORTH STAR OUTFITTING who, in their sole discretion, may refuse such consent; The buyer is the highest Registered Bidder acknowledged at the time the sale ends;

NORTH STAR OUTFITTING shall have absolute discretion in settling any dispute in determining the successful bidder; The Buyer acknowledges that invoices generated during the sale or shortly after may not be error free, and therefore are subject to review; and Every Registered Bidder agrees that if a Lot is sold on his bid, he is bound to purchase the Lot for the Purchase Price.

Buyer’s Price
The Buyer shall pay the Purchase Price (inclusive of the Buyer’s Premium and applicable taxes) to NORTH STAR OUTFITTING;

Payment of the Purchase Price:
The Buyer shall:
Pay for all purchased Lots by Credit Card (limited to VISA, MasterCard)
Certified Cheque, cash or Bank Draft.
In all circumstances, NORTH STAR OUTFITTING prefers payment by Certified Cheque.

Descriptions of Hunts
All representations or statements made by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING, or in the online description are statements of opinion only. The Buyer agrees that NORTH STAR OUTFITTING shall not be liable for any errors or omissions in the listing or any supplementary material produced by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING; All photographic representations and other illustrations presented are solely for guidance and are not necessarily a true representation of the hunt;

The Buyer agrees that NORTH STAR OUTFITTING shall not be held responsible for any errors or omissions contained within. The Buyer shall be responsible for ascertaining the value of the Lot.

Non-payment and Failure to Collect Lot(s):
If the Buyer fails either to pay for any Lot by the 7th business day following the date of the auction sale, NORTH STAR OUTFITTING will be entitled, without providing further notice to the Buyer and without prejudice to any other rights or remedies, to:
Forfeit the hunt;
To rescind the sale of that or any other hunts sold to the Buyer;
Offer hunts to the next highest bidder at the winning bid amount;

NORTH STAR OUTFITTING, will refuse and revoke the Buyer’s registration in any future auctions held by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING. Guarantee

NORTH STAR OUTFITTING and its employees, shall not be responsible for the correctness of any statement as to the attribution of any hunt auction or for any other errors of description or for any faults or defects in any Lot and no warranty whatsoever is given by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING, its employees in respect of any hunt and any express or implied conditions or warranties are hereby excluded.

Buyer Responsibility
Prospective Buyers are advised to review all hunt information before bidding, and to satisfy themselves as to the description and attribution of each Lot;

THE CONSIGNOR:
NORTH STAR OUTFITTING shall have absolute discretion as to the particular auction sale for the hunt, the date of the auction sale, the manner in which the auction sale is conducted, the descriptions of the hunt, and any other matters related to the sale of the hunt at the auction sale. Warranties and Indemnities

NORTH STAR OUTFITTING and its employees are indemnified against all claims made, or proceedings brought, by persons entitled or purporting to be entitled to the hunt;

Commission and Expenses
If NORTH STAR OUTFITTING has not received the Purchase Price from the Buyer within the time period specified the Lot (s) will be forfeited to NORTH STAR OUTFITTING

Photographs and Illustrations
Use and publishing of illustration, photograph or other reproduction in connection with the public exhibition, promotion and sale of the hunt and otherwise in connection with the operation of NORTH STAR OUTFITTING’s business, including without limitation by including the illustration, photograph or other reproduction in promotional compilations, and other publications and materials distributed, and by communicating the illustration, photograph or other reproduction by telecommunication via an Internet website operated by or affiliated with NORTH STAR OUTFITTING are all the property of NORTH STAR OUTFITTING and are to be of a point of reference and not a guarantee that you will harvest an animal exactly as the ones pictured and described.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
NORTH STAR OUTFITTING has the right at its absolute discretion to refuse any bid, to withdraw any hunt, to combine any two or more hunts and, in the case of default of payment, to put up any hunt for auction again. At no time, shall a Registered Bidder retract or withdraw his bid.

Access to the Online Bidding service is made available as a convenience and on a temporary basis, and NORTH STAR OUTFITTING reserves the right to suspend or terminate any aspect or feature of the Online Bidding service (including the Online Bidding service in its entirety) at any time, with or without notice. Without limiting the foregoing, NORTH STAR OUTFITTING may suspend access to Online Bidding to carry out scheduled or unscheduled maintenance or for any other reason at any time.

Any notice given hereunder shall be in writing and if given by post shall be deemed to have been duly received by the addressee within five (5) business days. The copyright for all illustrations and written matter relating to the hunts shall be and will remain at all times the absolute property of NORTH STAR OUTFITTING and shall not, without the prior written consent of NORTH STAR OUTFITTING, be used by any other person.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Alberta Law and the laws of Canada applicable therein and all parties concerned hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Alberta Courts.

All words importing the singular number shall include the plural and vice versa, and words importing the use of any gender shall include the masculine, feminine and neuter genders and the word “person” shall include an individual, a trust, a partnership, a body corporate, an association or other incorporated or unincorporated organization or entity.

If any provision of this Agreement or the application thereof to any circumstances shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this Agreement, or the application thereof to other circumstances, shall not be affected thereby and shall be held valid to the full extent permitted by law. Changes to These Terms and Conditions: NORTH STAR OUTFITTING may from time to time update its terms and conditions between auctions. Please review these terms and conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by NORTH STAR OUTFITTING. If you use Online Bidding after changes have been made and posted, you shall be deemed to have agreed to such changes. If you do not agree to such changes, you should not make any subsequent use of the Online Bidding service.
